Celebrating a Hat Trick of Awards

The annual housing sector awards season kicked off in style with the first of a trio of awards.

The Oaklee Housing Operations team were delighted to accept the Working in Partnership Award, with Kildare County Council at the inaugural All Ireland Supporting Communities Awards at the Crown Plaza, Belfast.

We are especially proud of the team, especially Robbie Bermingham who, along with  Sarah Louise Grey, Emma McCormick and Susan Byrne, as well as Emma Edgeworth, from Kildare County Council, Maria Healy from Slainte Care and Ciaran Reilly from The Alternative Project delivered this incredible project at The Harbour, Athy.

Our second, and much deserved award of the season, was given by the Irish Council for Social Housing at the Community Housing Awards, for their Medium Family Housing Award for Kearney's Field in Tullamore, County Offaly. Huge thanks and congratulations are also due to Offaly County Council, the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, the Housing Finance Agency, MCOH Architects, Coolsivina Construction, Downes Associates, Mitchell & Associations and last, but not least, MJ Turley and Associates.

The third and final award, in as many weeks was awarded to the incredible Gerardine Corkey at the Community Housing Awards. Gerardine was presented with the Margaret O'Leary, Achievement in Community Housing Award by the Irish Council for Social Housing. We could not have been prouder of Gerardine who worked with Oaklee for a solid 16 years until her retirement in March.

A massive WELL DONE to the entire Oaklee team, partners and supports who helped make this fantastic achievement possible.
