Oaklee shortlisted for four honours at the CIH All‑Ireland Housing Awards 2026

Celebrating achievement across homes, services and communities

Oaklee is proud to be shortlisted in four categories at the CIH All‑Ireland Housing Awards 2026. These nominations showcase the quality of our developments, the impact of our community work and the strength of our partnerships with residents and local agencies.

Each shortlisted entry reflects Oaklee’s commitment to delivering more homes, better services and stronger, inclusive communities across Ireland.

Best Housing Development – The Sidings (Adamstown)

The Sidings delivers 154 cost‑rental and 30 social homes designed for modern living. All homes are A‑rated, incorporating high‑performance insulation, triple glazing, solar panels and energy‑efficient systems that reduce running costs for residents.

Located in the heart of Adamstown’s growing urban village, The Sidings sits alongside shops, green spaces, services and strong public transport links, creating a vibrant, connected community.

This nomination recognises Oaklee’s focus on quality, affordability and long‑term sustainability.

Working in Partnership – Grounded in Community, Guided by People

This entry highlights Oaklee’s collaborative community development approach across several schemes, where engagement with residents, local services, community organisations and statutory partners has helped create environments that are safe, inclusive and empowering.

The nomination demonstrates the impact of meeting people where they are, building trust and co‑designing solutions that meet real needs.

Housing Hero (Tenant Award) – Valerie Chandler

Valerie’s leadership and quiet dedication have made her an invaluable source of support within her community. Her commitment to fairness, inclusion and neighbourliness has helped build trust, strengthen relationships and encourage residents of all ages to participate in community life.

From supporting neighbours to organising inclusive events, Valerie brings positive energy and compassion to everything she does. Her nomination celebrates the essential role residents play in shaping thriving communities.

Community Champions – The Harbour, Athy

The Harbour has undergone significant positive transformation through a strong multi‑agency partnership including Oaklee, Kildare County Council, An Garda Síochána, youth services, health and wellbeing initiatives and local community groups.

Improvements in safety, engagement and shared spaces — supported by tenant‑led activities and open collaboration — have helped rebuild confidence, connection and pride within the estate.

This shortlist recognises the power of partnership and resident involvement in delivering lasting change.

A shared achievement

These four shortlists reflect the dedication of Oaklee residents, colleagues and partners working together to create communities that are safe, supportive and inclusive.

Oaklee looks forward to the awards ceremony in Belfast, where winners will be announced.
